Complete these steps

  1. Have a player create a room and act as a lobby host.
    1. Start Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
    2. From menu, select either the 1 or 2 player option next to Wireless Play.
    3. Select Create Room.

    3. Use the following options to select the race settings, such as the Team, Item, and Race Count settings.
    4. Once the appropriate settings have been selected, and all the players have joined the lobby, press the A Button again to confirm the settings.
    5. After the players in the room have selected their characters and karts, players will be asked the select their preferred track, and then the match will start.
